10 Reasons Authors Should Use Author App for Facebook

Social media is very important in all business applications in today’s world. A great way for an author to create a presence online is to use an app called “Author App” for Facebook. Below are some of great reasons to use it.
1. It’s on Facebook. Recent studies are showing that most people search for companies to do business with on Facebook, so it’s important that they can find you that way. This also it a more direct route to younger audiences.
2. It includes your author bio. Make sure to tell your story as well as include all your books. This gives your readers a personal connection with you.
3. It includes connectivity to your website. Make sure to fill out your web address so readers can find your web presence.
4. It includes a link to a mailing list. If you want to keep in touch with your readers, especially about upcoming events and writing, a mailing list is a great way to do that. Author App makes it easy for interested parties to sign up to receive your notifications.
5. It allows readers to share your page with friends. Nothing works better than a referral of a friend. With the quick “share author with friends” button, your readers can recommend you.
6. It provides easy viewing of books published. Upload your book covers and descriptions to create a quick and easily viewable collection of all your books.
7. It provides a link to purchase books. Since you probably want to sell your books, making it possible for readers to click through to links on Amazon to purchase your books is more likely to result in a click to buy.
8. It provides listing of author events. If you are doing book signings or author talks to spread the word about your work, having the events listed in one easy place will make it easier for people to keep track of your events.
9. It’s easy. None of us need more learn (we doing that everyday with technology) and by filling out a few fields, you can have everything set up in an 30 minutes or less. If your bibliography is extensive, it may take a little longer.
10. It’s fast. None of us need to add time-consuming tasks to our busy schedule. Everyone is so busy, that adding anything that requires intense attention and a lot of updating or going to another website will just make it harder to do. Heck, you’re on Facebook anyway, right?
